I've always wanted to write about the gherkin. Is it just a small, early-harvested cucumber? Why the spiky skin? Now that I have so many growing in our greenhouse - I can harvest almost daily - I thought it was time look into it. Why are the ‘cornichons’ I eat in France so much more sour than here at home in the Netherlands? I'm designing a website for a client in the French Morvan. She is a Dutch goldsmith who lives and works from the beautiful Burgundy and also organizes workshops near a natural water source. And rents out a rustic gîte for anyone looking for peace, quiet and space.

Ook voor mij is het tijd om openlijk stelling te nemen. Ik kan en zal doorgaan met in hoofdzaak plantaardig eten, mijn afval scheiden, minder consumeren en me uitspreken over zaken die me niet bevallen , maar zelfs als we dit met z’n heel velen doen is dit niet genoeg. En is meer burgerprotest nodig. Klimaatactivisme, ja.

Herbal tea for chickens? Is just a handful of grain not enough? I think it's time to admit that as an author of award winning cookbooks I have more talent for feeding animals than cooking for people. And if you own chickens, it's high time you adopt this idea: your chickens will thank you forever for it and as a cook, you can't fail.

Saskia van Movimento wilde alleen haar logo aanpassen omdat haar werkzaamheden zich uitgebreid hebben. Kan dat ook? Natuurlijk! Passend bij haar bestaande huisstijl (die ik een paar jaar geleden vorm gaf) heb ik een nieuw logo gemaakt,: eenvoudig met een wat sterker lettertype dan de vorige versie.
